What is it all about? The year is 1949 and the Chinese nationalists under Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, having won control of China after a long and bloody civil war with Mao Zedong's communists, now face the daunting prospect of ousting the invading Japanese forces from Taiwan. Under instructions from Chiang Kai-shek, one of his most capable officers in the army has been getting ready to train a highly skilled group of recruits to form an elite fighting force - replacements for those who fell in battle. This officer is Ip Man (Tony Leung). Spurred on by the deaths of his family and his village, Ip Man begins training a group of men to become the best fighters in the world. Though these men begin as untrained street ruffians and vagrants, Ip brings out their true potential and teaches them how to channel their lives into one single purpose: Kill every Japanese soldier they encounter. What does it have? This is a tough movie to describe so I'll just say, if this movie looks like "Bodyguard 2" with Wing Chun then you're gonna love it. Excellent fight scenes (including a lot that is screen accurate). You will feel like you're watching something that was meant for martial arts fans only. This is a must watch for any IP Man fan.Cast: Tony Leung Ka Fai, Zhang Jin, Sun Chun, Zhao Benshan and Bruce Lee.Kimo Leung (Tony Leung Ka Fai), who was once a disciple of the legendary Ip Man, has left Foshan and moved to Hong Kong. He has opened his own martial arts school despite the lucrative business opportunities in running an illicit gambling establishment. Kimo's wife died while giving birth to his daughter Manbi (Zhang Xinyu). Kimo blames himself for her death and has since lost interest in training martial arts students. One day, Kimo and his good friend Gun (Wu Jing) meet Yong Gong (Yongyi Fang), a talented martial artist who has fled from Foshan to Hong Kong. Gun tells Yong Gong that he has sought for him as he is the only one who can take over as head of his martial art school as Gun's father (Yueh Hua) is getting old and decrepit. However, Gun does not tell Yong Gong that Kimo has given up on martial arts and may not want to take over the school. Kimo and Gun agree to give Yong Gong a chance and let him spar with their best student whom they call Ironhead (Mark Cheng). Yong Gong easily knocks out Ironhead. A few days later, Yong Gong challenges Kimo to a fight. Kimo is unhappy with Yong Gong's arrogance and tells him that he will not teach him. However, he agrees to have a match with him after Yong Gong calls his bluff and threatens to kill himself by jumping off the building across their school if he is not taught martial arts by him. The fight ends with Yong Gong seriously injuring Kimo's knee. When Gun tells Kimo that they should stop teaching Yong Gong, Kimo gives in and allows Yong Gong to study under his school despite his reservations over the boy's talent for martial arts. cfa1e77820
